  1. reduce the blood orange juice to a thick syrup
  2. allow to cool slightly, and stir into your beurre blanc

Options

This blood orange flavor melds with many spices to add a more complex flavor to the sauce. I often will add a piece of star anise, or a slice of ginger to the orange reduction.
