Recipe Description

this was an experimental recipe when i was trying to put a little masa harina in everything. it works real well.

Ingredients

6 cups chicken stockView Recipe
1 ts kosher salt
1 cup cornmeal
1/2 cup masa harina
4 tb butterView Recipe
4 ounces grated monterey jack
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 ts chipotle chile, minced
1 pinch cumin

Method & Notes

  1. Bring the stock to a boil, then stir in the salt, cornmeal and masa harina (do this a little at a time so you don't end up with lumps).
  2. Cook until the water is absorbed and the mush tastes cooked.
  3. Remove from the heat and stir in the butter one chunk at a time.
  4. Stir in the rest of the ingredients, and stir until the cheese is melted.
